As the Broker/Owner of Market South Management, Gary not only provides the strategic direction of the company, but is also involved in the day to day operation of the business. This “hands-on” management style ties him to all aspects of the daily operation, which includes the residential and commercial management as well as the association management component of the business.

Having earned his Georgia Salespersons Real Estate License in 1980 and his Broker’s License in 1983, Gary draws on his 30-plus years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to 1980, he was employed by IBM Corporation where he received valuable marketing and management experience.

Gary and his wife, Susan, have owned and managed several successful real estate companies. In 2003, they decided to position their real estate firm to focus solely on professional property management services in the Greater Savannah Area. Gary strives to provide a full service package for owner/investors and associations who need professional management services.

In order to provide premier client services, Gary is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR) and the Savannah Area Board of Realtors (SABOR) where is a Past Director. Most important is his membership in the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) where he is active in the Atlanta Chapter. Gary is also Past President of the Dublin Board of Realtors.

Gary and Susan both graduated from Auburn University in 1973 and have lived in Savannah since 1995. They have 2 adult children; Marci is the Women’s Golf Coach at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and Parker is a Property Manager in Athens, GA.

Office Coordinator
Deana is a native of Savannah. She graduated from St Vincent’s academy and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University. In 1999 she started working in Property Management as an administrative assistant. Deana has worn many hats for this company through the years. She has been a property manager, bookkeeper, and receptionist and is now our office coordinator. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is very active in the Irish Community and loves to garden.

Lynette has served the real estate industry for decades earning her Paralegal Certification through AASU in 1988 and gaining professional experience with various law firms, corporations and commercial developers, specializing in commercial and residential Real Estate Law, Sales, Leasing, Marketing, Mortgage Origination and Management. She went on to obtain her Georgia Real Estate License in 2007 and joined Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) in 2008 as a specialist in Marketing & Management.  Her passion for real estate and love of photography along with her understanding of today’s technology is an incredible asset to our firm and to our clients.

Property Manager for West Chatham, Pooler, Richmond Hill

Jodi has been a resident of Richmond Hill for 21 years after living all over the country as a military transplant. In 2001 she became a Georgia licensed Real Estate Agent and immediately became interested in Property Management. The excitement of meeting new people is what keeps her motivated every day. Jodi has been with Market South Management (formely Mopper Stapen Management) since September of 2010. She manages Pooler, Richmond Hill and West Chatham areas. When she isn’t busy finding families a home she enjoys kayaking &  shopping.

Property Manager for Southside, Midtown, Islands

Diane has been a resident of Richmond Hill since 1984. In 1986 she became a Realtor and worked for ReMax for 17 years. While there she got her first taste of property management. Diane joined us earlier this year and manages our properties on the Islands, Ardsley area  and much of Southside Savannah. When she is not in the office she enjoys shopping for a good deal and spending time with her grandson.

Property Manager for Historic Downtown Properties
Christie moved to the Savannah area in 2005 to attend Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2007 she finished her M.F.A in Historic Preservation and worked as a construction manager until she became interested in Property Management and joined Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) in 2009. Christie lives, works, plays and eats downtown and therefore is our expert on the Historic District. Her hobbies include golf, photography, traveling, and watching college football.

Don is a native of Savannah spending most of his professional career in Broadcast advertising sales.  He became a Georgia licensed Real Estate agent in 2005 and began his career as a Community Association Manager for Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) in 2007.  Don has over 40 hours of continuing education from the Georgia Real Estate commission devoted specifically to Association Management.  Don currently manages over 20 Condominium and Homeowner Associations and has assisted many Boards with all of the challenges they face including collections, maintenance & repairs, Covenant enforcement and more.  Let us know how Don can help your Association.

Bookkeeping & Account Manager
A transplant from the Midwest, Sydney moved to Savannah in 1998 and started working in accounting for an industrial company. She joined Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen management) in 2005 and serves as our Bookkeeping & Accounts Manager for Property Management as well as Association Management. Sydney brings years of prior administrative, accounting and customer service skills and is a valuable employee and a real asset to our firm, our clients and our customers. Sydney also enjoys reading, and crafting in her spare time. She is a proud Notre Dame alumna. GO IRISH!

Maintenance Coordinator
Robin has been in the Savannah area for 30 years. After spending 15 years of her career owning a painting company, she became interested in property management. She came to Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) iearlier this year in 2011 as our Maintenance Coordinator for Leasing & Management properties bringing with her a wealth of experience to our operations in her new position. When she isn’t busy insuring the roof over your head is sealed she can be found working on her own home.

Front Desk - Administrative Assistant
Cliffondra relocated from Detroit to Savannah in 2009 and began working part-time for Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) in the fall of 2010 and has since become our full time Front Desk Administrative Assistant.  She brings 12 years of Administrative and Customer Service skills to her new position, while pursuing her B.A. in Business Management from AASU & Savannah State.  She is also the proud mother of 3 wonderful children and in her spare time enjoys family activities and shopping.  She brings a great personality and a strong desire to help our clients and customers with their housing needs.

Leasing - Administrative Assistant
Caterina and her 3 children relocated to the United States from Stuttgart Germany in 2008. She attended college at Wirtschaftsgymnasium West Germany and holds an Associates Degree in Business Management and is also multi-lingual in English, German and Italian. Caterina joined Market South Management (formerly Mopper Stapen Management) in 2008 and brings tons of personality and a wonderful sense of organization and attention to detail to her position as Administrative Assistant. She is presently pursuing her Property Management Certification (CPM) and we are proud of her pursuits as they exemplify the commitment and excellence we desire from our staff.

HOA & Accounting - Administrative Assistant
Michelle has called Tybee Island home until recently moving in-land with her husband.  She has over 3 years of Property and HOA management experience and brings over 10 years of administrative assistance and customer service experience to our firm. Michelle is working in support of our Community Association Manager in addition to administrating the accounting activities for our Homeowner Associations. She has a wonderful sense of organization and attention to detail. She is the proud mom of three needy cats and one rambunctious husky.
